Metriport raises $26M to help doctors retrieve patient data

Dima Goncharov, CEO and co-founder of Metriport, spoke with Endpoints News health tech reporter Ngai Yeung about the company's $26 million raise, led by Matrix with participation from ARTIS and Y Combinator. Goncharov described how Metriport pulls patient records from EHRs, health information exchanges, ADT feeds, labs, and pharmacies, then surfaces the pieces most relevant to a clinician's specialty and workflow.

Goncharov also traced the company's origins. Metriport launched in 2022 as a consumer health assistant before pivoting to data infrastructure, after he found the harder problem sat with the organizations trying to make clinical data usable. He pointed to the decision to build open source, so customers can see how the platform processes their clinical data, and said the funding will scale the platform and expand Metriport's AI/ML and agentic capabilities.

People should expect better from the healthcare system. If a provider is making decisions without your full health history, it should be fair to ask why."
